MEET GEORGE AND HIS ANGELS

BISHOP GEORGE E. MOYE

Bishop Moye was born January 3, 1918 in Ayden, North Carolina to the late George and Adelaide Moye. He accepted Christ at the early age of 16 and at the age of 19 began preaching the Word of God and leading many, many souls to the Lord. He was ordained on September 4, 1948 and pastored for 44 years. He founded Antioch Church on February 2, 1976. After God called him to the high office of Bishop on October 27, 1979, he began establishing many other ministries from North Carolina, Washington, D.C., Maryland and New York.

Bishop Moye was married to the late Elma Lee on November 20, 1935 and out of this union six children were born. His family includes 40 grandchildren, sixty-three great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. All who knew him loved and cherished him.

After a lengthy illness and fighting the good fight of faith, Bishop Moye went home to be with his Lord and Savior whom he had faithfully served till his death on October 30, 1997 at 9:30 a.m. As a testimony of Bishop Moye's faith in God, he closed his eyes in eternal rest while saying the Lord's Prayer. Therefore, we [when his family] are confident in saying Bishop was willing rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord....2 Corinthians 5:8.

Bishop was known for his "gift of faith." He exhibited such an unshakeable, unwavering faith in God that many times his heart physicians could only refer to him as "a miracle" for they were unable to explain how he would recover when they were expecting his untimely demise. Bishop could always be found saying "I know in whom I believe" and although he was always obedient to do what his physicians instructed, he made it known that "the doctors do not know it all, my God has the last word." And God in fact had the last word and is still speaking through Bishop Moye's faith through the George's Angels Writing Ministry.

Editor's Profile

Under the guidance of the Holy Spirit of God, I am the Editor of the George's Angels Newsletters. I wholeheartedly rely upon the leading of the Holy Spirit to direct my heart and thoughts to share what He has placed upon my heart in monthly Newsletters. I have been blessed along with the George's Angels readers. Many of my family members have come to know the Lord and others have been strengthened in their spiritual life as they read and share God's Word through the GA Newsletters. We share them with our extended families, friends, co-workers and our individual church families.

The sole and primary purpose of the Writing Ministry is to share the Word of God with those who do not know the Lord and encourage and support others in their walk with our Savior. It does not attempt to give opinions, ideas or thoughts contrary to that of the Word of God. It acknowledges the Word of God to be all sufficient and the final and sovereign authority in all areas of life

This is our first attempt to share Christ with our cyberspace family via the world wide web. It is our hope and prayer that you will be blessed as God has saw fit to bless us. We are here to pray with you, encourage you and most of all to introduce you to the One who will forgive your sins as you place your trust in Him and ask Him to be your Savior.

Let the wicked forsake his way

and the evil man his thoughts.

Let him turn to the LORD, and he will have mercy on him,

and to our God, for he will freely pardon. Isaiah 55:7
